FIFA has approved Argentina’s request allowing suspensions for Leandro Paredes and Nahuel Molina from the World Cup final brawl to be served in Class A friendlies as well as official matches, significantly reducing their competitive impact.

Paredes received a 10-match suspension and Molina seven matches after incidents following Argentina’s final defeat to Spain. Argentina can now schedule friendlies to clear those bans faster, while the association also received a fine and partial stadium restrictions.
