Gotham FC midfielder Rose Lavelle has entered the NWSL concussion protocol and will miss at least Friday’s match against Portland. The United States international suffered a head injury during the first half of Gotham’s scoreless draw with Angel City.
Gotham said Lavelle is undergoing the required testing before she can return. The diagnosis is a concrete update from the initial injury evaluation, while the league leaders are also managing other absences including Emily Sonnett and Denise O’Sullivan.
