Nico Gonzalez, Newcastle United and Manchester City

Newcastle United have officially signed Nico Gonzalez from Manchester City for a fee that could rise to £52 million. The 24-year-old midfielder completed his medical on Tyneside and signed a long-term contract at St James’ Park.
The signing completes a hard update from the previously agreed transfer. Newcastle targeted Premier League experience after several major departures, while Gonzalez became City’s fourth senior midfield exit following Bernardo Silva, Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders.
