Aston Villa have had an offer worth around £18m plus add-ons rejected by Southampton for England defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis. Southampton are seeking roughly £25m as Villa search for a replacement for Ezri Konsa before their Premier League campaign.
Villa’s need has intensified after agreeing to sell Konsa to Arsenal for more than £50m. Harwood-Bellis played 48 times for Southampton last season, while Unai Emery’s squad has already lost several important players during a major summer overhaul.
