Jurrien Timber, William Saliba and Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says Jurrien Timber will remain unavailable for several more weeks as he continues recovering from injury. The defender had been expected to target the Community Shield, while William Saliba is also facing an extended recovery from a back problem.
Timber is back working on the pitch but Arteta cannot yet provide a precise return date. Saliba was ordered to rest almost completely for two weeks, leaving Arsenal without two important defenders as competitive fixtures approach.
