Everton, Arsenal and Christian Norgaard
Wednesday
Everton have signed Denmark midfielder Christian Norgaard from Arsenal on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee, reportedly around £7m. The 32-year-old leaves after one season in north London, where he made 20 appearances during Arsenal’s title-winning campaign.
David Moyes wanted experienced leadership after the departures of Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gueye, while James Garner will miss the season’s opening period after surgery. Norgaard brings 196 Brentford appearances and extensive Premier League experience into Everton’s midfield.
