Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray and Victor Osimhen

Atletico Madrid have rejected the opportunity to sign Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen in a proposed €75m transfer. The Nigeria international was reportedly prepared to reduce his wages to work under Diego Simeone and pursue a move to La Liga.
Intermediaries presented the proposal, but Atletico decided the financial commitment was unaffordable and considered Julian Alvarez sufficient for the central role. The rejection leaves Osimhen at Galatasaray unless another club advances a suitable offer this summer.
