Chelsea, Strasbourg and Valentin Barco

Chelsea have completed the signing of Argentina international Valentin Barco from Strasbourg on a seven-year contract. The versatile 21-year-old becomes their sixth summer addition and will join the remainder of the club’s pre-season tour before the new campaign.
Barco developed at Boca Juniors before spells with Brighton and Strasbourg, where he rebuilt his career after a successful loan. His transfer becomes the 13th deal between Chelsea and Strasbourg since last season under their shared ownership structure.
