Bournemouth have completed the signing of Portugal defender Antonio Silva from Benfica in a deal worth up to £25.7m. The 22-year-old arrives for an initial £21.4m, with another £4.3m available through performance-related add-ons.
Silva was recruited to replace Marcos Senesi after his free-transfer move to Tottenham. He brings Champions League, Europa League and international experience, becoming Bournemouth’s second summer signing as Marco Rose seeks greater stability after last year’s major sales.
