Manchester United Women have completed their first summer signing by bringing in Spain youth defender Andrea Medina on a free transfer after her Atletico Madrid contract expired at the end of June as the squad rebuild starts.
The 22-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the option of another year. United’s women’s football director Matt Johnson said Medina adds defensive quality and long-term potential to the squad as pre-season approaches this summer.
