Chelsea have sacked Liam Rosenior after fewer than four months in charge following a severe run of results, including five straight Premier League defeats without scoring. Calum McFarlane will take over on an interim basis. Other reports say the 3-0 defeat at Brighton proved decisive as Chelsea fell to seventh and drifted away from the Champions League places. The club said results and performances had dropped below required standards and that it will now begin a longer-term review.
