Fermin Lopez was taken to hospital for emergency stitches after suffering a serious lip injury in Barcelona’s loss to Atletico Madrid. The injury came after a collision with Juan Musso’s boot during the second leg. The initial dressing-room treatment was not enough, so Lopez needed further hospital work after returning to Catalonia. Musso defended himself afterwards, saying the contact was accidental and part of a natural goalkeeping movement.
