Liam Rosenior said he was fully responsible for Chelsea’s defensive mistakes after a fourth straight defeat in all competitions. The manager admitted his tactical setup did not deliver, as individual errors again damaged Chelsea in a costly loss to Everton. Rosenior said Chelsea dropped deeper in a 4-4-2 shape and were comfortable before gifting away the opening goal. He defended Robert Sanchez after another error, but accepted the team’s repeated defensive lapses are fuelling opposition confidence and must be fixed quickly.
