Day’Ron Sharpe will miss the rest of the season after the Nets announced he needs surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb. The center had played 62 games and was producing career-best numbers in several key categories this year. Sharpe was diagnosed with an ulnar collateral ligament tear and will now undergo surgery, ending his campaign immediately.
